A 7,000-square-foot ground-up estate designed to feel centuries old, complete with a New England slate roof, custom plaster mouldings, and French fireplace mantels and surrounds from the 1800s. Set on over an acre in the heart of Atherton, the property includes a formal French parterre garden, a large vegetable garden, a sport court for an athletic family, and an oak grove meant for quiet picnics and meditation. Vintage Bagues lighting throughout adds softness to this timeless French-inspired retreat.

Originally dark and cold, with desert landscaping and minimal lighting, this 4,200 square-foot home felt out of place in Hillsborough’s traditional enclave. Recognizing its Art Deco symmetry and subtle French undertones, Jules transformed it into an opulent, moody and inviting residence - infused with personality and designed for effortless entertaining.

Built in the late 1960s for a designer known for lively entertaining, this home underwent a complete interior and backyard renovation to bring new life to its original spirit. Hand-painted tiles, Moroccan-influenced details, arches, a gorgeous indoor-outdoor flow create a retreat that feels closer to a boutique resort in the Mediterranean than a residence. A separate 1,000 square-foot guest house channels Old Hollywood charm, adding a cinematic counterpoint within this leafy, historic neighborhood.

Lifted from their original foundations, rebuilt with raised ceilings and large wood beams, and renovated down to the shell, the homes now honor their legacy with renewed charm and modern liveability.
